On the 1st of August, a unique new CD for which Louise composed 6 contemporary tracks, was released in the UK by Strawlitter Productions. "William Wordsworth's Best-loved poems" contains 17 tracks; the most of these popular poems were set to music, including jazz piano - a fresh and original way to discover these poems.
Apart from setting the opening track, "I wandered lonely as a cloud" - the mostwell-known poemin the English anguage - to music, Louise also wrote compositions for "To a butterfly", "The small Celandine", "Lines written in early spring", "The reverie of poor Susan" and "She dwelt among th'untrodden ways". The recordings were completed with talented Greek sound engineer, Kleomenis Evan, at Tube Studioin Corfu, Greece.
Quoting Mike Healey (Producer, Strawlitter Productions UK): "My aim is to create a new, independent ‘spoken word/contemporary music’ label that provides an outlet for poets, past and present but ‘repackaged’ for new, perhaps younger audiences. Wordsworth’s best-loved poems (SL1) is the first in the series. Others will follow soon - including contemporary musical interpretations by Louise Du Toit of poetry by Sappho and C.P. Cavafy. The long-term aim is to develop a small team of regular contributors (contemporary writers/ composers/ musicians/ readers) who, together, constitute a community of creative talent with an emotional and financial stake in this label. These core elements will, from time to time, be enhanced by the involvement of celebrity performers such as Nicholas Parsons, Ian McKellan, and Orlando Gough - all of whom I have worked with in the past. Distribution will be via CD outlets and independent bookshops plus online outlets such as CDBaby and Amazon."

"Superb vocals, ethereal melodies, compelling lyrics, a beautiful album. Louise du Toit honors the magnificence of wildlife with her voice, laying bare her emotions while expressing her ultimate wish of peace and freedom for all living beings on earth.
The album consists of 12 haunting songs, written by the artist to raise awareness about the plights of different animals subjected to severe suffering and persecution, many of those on the brink of extinction. It reached the number one position on the top selling list in Greece within a few days after it was released."
"An alluring single that captures the spirit of the wild horses of Australia. Louise du Toit beautifully projects the plight of the Brumbies with her crystal clear voice, while cordially depicting the moving lyrics, the latter based on a poem by Laura Kett.
Heart of Australia is linked to the admirable HOOFS2010 Inc - a wonderful non-profit Australian organization working towards the ultimate survival of the wild horses. Louise du Toit is the artistic patron for HOOFS2010Inc."
In 2009, Louise formed Aineshana, a music group with many talented musicians from different parts of the world. Their first CD-DVD single, My Heart is a Sea, with two tracks and their remixes, was successfully released in September 2009 in the genre of world music, receiving beautiful reviews.
The title track of their single, My Heart is a Sea, is a song which Louise wrote and orchestrated, and it was also released as a music video, filmed by the experienced video director Ioannis Vlatakis and produced by Arctos. The unusual, exquisite sound of the Viola di Roda in the intro and solo parts of the song was added by the gifted Spanish musician, Efren Lopez. The link to the video of My Heart is a Sea can be found here.
Reviews and comments for My Heart is a Sea include the following:
Phontas Troussas, Vinylmine (7 March 2010): "My Heart is a Sea with the rhythmic power, the magical voice and the impeccable playing is a feast to the ears. Incredible neo-folk, which holds the great tradition of Fairports; I could say that it reminds me of...a modernized Fotheringay in an up-tempo."
ΦΩΝΤΑΣ ΤΡΟΥΣΑΣ, Vinylmine: "Ιδίως το My Heart is a Sea με τη ρυθμική του δύναμη, τα μαγικά φωνητικά και το άψογο παίξιμο είναι χάρμα ακροάσθαι. Απίθανο neo-folk, που κρατάει από τη μεγάλη παράδοση των Fairports; θα μπορούσα να πω πως μου θυμίζει ένα… εκσυγχρονισμένο Fotheringay σε up-tempo."
Theodore Ziras (Greek guitarist): "Great song, great work!"
Vadim Kolpakov (Russian artist): "...the song is wonderful!"
John Pierce (American actor): "...Great voice!"
Johan van Zyl: "Fantastic voice! Great song!"
Tetrafonia: "Your heart is a sea...your voice is the aura that opens the sails!"
