A Voice for the Voiceless

A Voice for the Voiceless

Louise is an animal activist, passionate about the causes which she supports and using her free time in between concerts and recordings to work as a wildlife and animal defender. Dedicating most of her music to different animal causes, she writes songs for wildlife and animal protecting organisations, also creating videos and artworks in support of their salvation efforts.

In 2010, she became the godmother of HOOFS2010 Inc, a non-profit organisation dedicated to protect the Australian wild horses, the Brumbies, composing a special song  and creating a video titled Heart of Australia for them. She then supported the salvation of the critically endangered Amur leopards with a song and video dedicated to their cause, artistically representing Russian and French organisations focusing on halting their extinction. In September 2010, she was asked to compose the song for the official opening of Pawfect Nation, a Public Benefit Organisation established earlier that year by a team of passionate animatarians in South Africa.

In 2011, she was requested to write the song for WEEAC, the World Event to End Animal Cruelty. She wrote The Time Has Come and also created a video for the occasion. Passionate about the abolishment of using animals in experiments, she regularly contributes to the fight against vivisection, having written a song, Vivus Sectio in October 2011, also turning it into a powerful video. In February 2012, she spoke out against crush videos with a short video dedicated to the efforts of Stopcrush.org, helping the cause to become more widely known. In March the same year, she joined the team of Seals of Nam, writing a special song about the plight of the Cape Fur seals, and in May 2013, she filmed a PSA in collaboration with the organisation and UGAWEProductions, speaking out against the seal slaughter on their behalf. Since then she has made several new PSA's for international organisations dedicated to the well-being of wildlife.

She is the artistic spokesperson for Howling For Justice, having dedicated her song, Howl Across America, as a contribution to the events in August 2011, the latter which was organized by NIWA (Northern Idaho Wolf Alliance), Wolf Warriors, Howling For Justice and individual wolf advocates around the world, all protesting against the killing of wolves. She continues to represent them and various other pro-wolf organisations, spreading their messages in support of the wolves through her music, videos and artworks. In 2013 she was appointed godmother of Wild Focus, a non-profit pro-wolf Belgium organization. Her songs and videos in support of elephants, whales, chimpanzees, rhinos, penguins and many other animals and birds are used by organisations around the globe to further their causes and to spread their messages of defending wildlife. She also speaks up against various environmental issues, as well as defending the rights of humans through her honest songs.

Her own words, as projected in her video of Just Love, perfectly sum up the way that she looks at life and also aims to live it: "Human, animal and nature; we all share the same earth. We are all visibly connected. We have kinship with all that exist. Every existence on earth is affected by our every thought, action and belief; equally deserving freedom, protection, compassion and respect."
